SKIN CARE ROUTINE for SMOOTH and HYDRATED SKIN

START WITH A HYDRATING BODY WASH

One of the best ways to hydrate skin is to treat it to a deep, gentle cleanse with Homemade Body Wash with Honey or with Olive oil.

Ingredients

½ cup liquid castile soap

½ cup raw honey

2 tablespoons castor oil (Can Skip)

2 tablespoons olive oil

10 drops of an essential oil of your choice (30-60 drops if castor oil is skipped)

How To Make

Pour the castile soap into a bottle.

Add the honey, followed by castor and olive oils and then the essential oil.

Shake well before use.

Shelf Life

When stored in a cool and dry place, castor and olive oils can last for 1-2 years. This body wash should be used within a year.

POLISH AWAY DRY SKIN  IN SUMMERS

1 cup oatmeal
Half a cup orange peel powder
Half a cup lemon peel powder
1 tsp grated lemon rind
1 tsp orange rind
A handful of marigold flowers
10 drops lemon oil

Mix all ingredients well. Take the required quantity and mix with milk and scrub all over the body, rinse and feel like a queen.

P.S. Remember you should not rub this in pressure like you do for scrub. It should be followed in circular motion when removing the exfoliant. Also, never use soap just after removing scrub as it will lose it purpose completely. Avoid using hot water to remove scrub otherwise it will give bumps on your skin either use lukewarm water or still cold water. So weave your magic with my magical natural ingredients and glow naturally this summer.

RESTORE MOISTURE

The mantra to keep you fresh and glowing is to diligently apply sunscreen and take the help of some homemade packs. Here are few face packs for you to try out this summer.

  1. Papaya Face Pack
  2.  Yogurt Face Pack
  3. Oats And Cucumber Face Mask

TREAT YOUR HANDS WITH CARE

During summers, the heat just doesn’t dehydrate us but also absorbs all the moisture from the skin, making it weak and dry. Here is home remedy completely natural for your skin and without any side effects.

  • Yogurt and Turmeric

Take a bowl of yogurt and add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Mix it together and apply it on your tanned hands. Rinse it off after 20 minutes. Yogurt contains probiotics which lighten the skin and moisturize it while turmeric improves uneven skin tone.

  • Soaking in Lemon Juice

Take a bowl with warm lemon juice and soak your tanned hands in it for 20 minutes. After that, rinse your hands with cold water. The vitamin C in the lemon juice protects the skin cells from the UV rays. Make sure you moisturize your skin after this as the acidic lime juice may make your skin dry.

  • Aloe Vera

Take some fresh aloe vera gel from the sap of the leaf and apply it on your hands. Leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning. The gel consists of antioxidants that protect the skin cells and remove the tan.

  • Cucumber Paste

Take a cup of cucumber juice and add a few drops of lemon juice to it. Mix this with turmeric powder and make a paste out of it. Apply this paste, leave it on for half an hour and then rinse it off. This will refresh your skin and will help it regain its lost glow.

  • Almond Paste

Take 5 to 6 almonds and soak them overnight. Later, blend the almonds with milk to make a paste. Apply this paste, leave it on overnight and wash it off the following morning. Almonds are rich in vitamins and riboflavin which protects the skin and improves its health.

  • Sandalwood and Turmeric Powder

Take a few teaspoons of sandalwood powder and turmeric powder and mix them. Add two-three drops of rose water to this. Mix them together and make a thick paste to apply on your hands. Leave this paste on for 30 minutes and then wash it off. This will improve the complexion of the skin and treat the damaged areas.
